Farben Lehre

The bold and energetic band Farben Lehre was formed in September 1986. Since then, the group has released 15 studio albums, 6 DVDs, and numerous compilations. For many years, the band has been touring extensively both in Poland and abroad. The musicians from Płock have performed alongside such iconic bands as The Exploited, Die Toten Hosen, New Model Army, Toy Dolls, U.K. Subs, G.B.H., Vibrators, and Dritte Wahl.

Since 2004, Farben Lehre has been the originator and one of the main acts of the concert tour Punky Reggae Live, which has visited dozens of clubs across major Polish cities. In 2018, after a few years' break, the tour returned to the Polish concert map. Lively concerts, always played at full throttle, are without a doubt the hallmark of the band from Płock.

For nearly twenty years, the group has been playing nearly a hundred concerts annually and continues to be very active on stages across Poland and beyond. In 2021, the band celebrated its 35th anniversary. To mark the occasion, several special releases came out, such as the CD "Songs of the 20th Century", the vinyl+DVD "Acoustic", the vinyl+CD split "Farben Lehre & Sexbomba", and a unique CD compilation "Friends For Friends", featuring 35 friendly bands performing their own versions of Farben Lehre’s songs.

In March 2023, their most recent album to date was released, titled "Na zdrowie", and many tracks from this album are currently included in their live setlists. There’s no doubt that the forever-young quartet from Mazovia shows no signs of slowing down.

Farben Lehre's music is energetic, melodic, full of joy, and free of complexes. Sharp yet accessible sounds combined with sincere lyrics are an attempt at spiritual connection with the listener. Since the very beginning, the band has followed and continues to live by the following motto:
"We play as long as it gives us joy, as long as we have something to say, as long as we have the strength, and as long as what we do is needed by anyone."
